Inspired by life-long friends, Oscar's became the dream of husband and wife Victor and Leslie Pizzolato, and the pair opened Oscar's in 1983. A neighborhood lounge and restaurant, Oscar's is where you and your friends can relax, dine and enjoy late night entertainment whether it's watching the latest sports game or playing pool.

Why Marilyn?

Aspirational yet attainable, Marilyn Monroe embodied what Oscar's hoped to become. Named after the Academy Awards, Oscar's decor first featured various Old Hollywood movie stars, but after two years, Victor and Leslie decided to narrow it down to one—Marilyn Monroe. A childhood favorite of Leslie's, Marilyn was a hard worker, classic, warm, and unique. She was an original.

The Marilyn images come from all across the U.S.—garage sales, San Francisco, Las Vegas, New York, Baton Route and New Orleans. Customers also add to the collection, giving lost treasures from their homes.
